CPR Saves Lives!

The Heart of the Matter
88% of heart attacks occur at home. 90% of people who suffer heart attacks outside of a hospital die. If performed immediately, CPR can double or triple a heart attack victim’s chance of survival.

You Can Help!
Hands-only CPR does not involve mouth-to-mouth breaths and has been shown to be as effective as conventional CPR for cardiac arrest in the home, workplace or in public.

Knowing how to administer hands-only CPR quickly and effectively can save someone’s life.

Just follow these steps:

  • Call 9-1-1, or designate someone to call 9-1-1.
  • Place the heel of one hand in the center of the person’s chest.
  • Place your other hand on top and lace your fingers together.
  • Push hard and fast, at least 100 times per minute, until help arrives.
