The Good Samaritan Center is a faith based charitable medical and dental clinic that helps low-income individuals and families that have no health insurance. They serve residents in Blanco, Gillespie, Kimble, Llano, and Mason Counties. Their service area also extends to people who live in the towns of Comfort and Brady. The Good Samaritan Center is a community health collaborator, and not affiliated with HCM.
Hill Country CARES has a commitment to help victims of family violence and sexual assault put the pieces of their lives back together. Serving Kerr, Kendall, Bandera, Gillespie, and Kimble Counties with funds made available by concerned citizens, grant funds, and limited state and federal monies, HCCARES offers housing, counseling, and legal advocacy to victims and their children. The dedicated board of directors, staff, and volunteers combine forces to help rebuild shattered lives and broken dreams of individuals caught up in the cycle of violence.
The Hill Country Community Needs Council identifies, establishes and administers services that address the basic unmet needs of people in Gillespie County. Their mission is accomplished through the mobilization of a core of community volunteers, the utilization of community resources and services, and the establishment of programs. The Needs Council is a community based organization, and not affiliated with HCM.
The Fredericksburg Food Pantry has been serving Fredericksburg and Gillespie County for over 20 years. They are an interdenominational Christian Organization. It is locally operated in Fredericksburg, Texas · The Fredericksburg Food Pantry is limited in mission to supplementing (not "supporting") people's food needs.
